Craig Robert's directorial feature debut about a misfit teenager stuck in a small Welsh town is quirky and has it's moments but remains a low key comedy.

Angst ridden teenager Jim (Craig Roberts) the school misfit. Picked on at school, he's the standout uncool kid. Even his best pal Michael (Ryan Owen) opts out, his dog's run off, no one came to his 17th birthday party and his parents (Aneirin Hughes & Nia Roberts) are cardboard cut outs. At least he likes old gangster movies so it's sit alone and watch the same film again and again.

Everything changes when up pops Dean (Emile Hirsche), a mysterious subversive American who moves in next door who sets out to make Craig cool - 'You need to mean up a bit instead of being a little bitch.' Perhaps he'll even have some luck with pink haired Jackie (Charlotte Randall).

With a stronger script this original idea could have dived headlong into black comedy. As it is, it's low key.
