The hoped for quick fire, great one-liners, comedy-action buddy movie has a tired, seen-it-all-before feel and isn't funny.

Michael Bryce (Ryan Reynolds), ex-super operative, downgraded as he lost a client is assigned to take hitman number one Darius Kincaid, played by the always watchable Samuel L. Jackson to The Hague where he's struck a deal to get his feisty wife Sonia (Salma Hayek) out of jail if he testifies against Belarusian warlord Vladislav Dukhovich (Gary Oldman looking suitable vicious). No problem, Bryce, the assassin's babysitter's ready to go. As you'd expect, Darius Kincaid and Michael Bryce have a history.

The scripts iffy, the quick fire banter's flat, car chases, shoot outs and Amsterdam's canals don't make a movie and any hope of a Mel Gibson-Danny Glover buddy, buddy touch doesn't even get off the ground. A bland, mediocre, late summer studio pocket filler.
