NOVEMBER AT REGENT STREET CINEMA

It’s chilly out but there’s a roaring hearth of filmic delights at REGENT STREET CINEMA this November where the unusual is usual!

Festival fever hits the cinema this month taking in MADE IN PRAGUE FESTIVAL (10th to 18th Nov), RUSSIAN FILM WEEK (20th to 24th Nov), KOREAN FILM FESTIVAL (2nd to 8th Nov), UK JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL (25th – 26th Nov) and IRISH FILM FESTIVAL (1st – 3rd Dec) all bringing a unique world-view to the screen. JOSEPH CONRAD ON FILM season celebrates the author’s work transposed to the screen including stunning cinematic journeys APOCALYPSE NOW, OUTCAST OF THE ISLAND and THE DUELLISTS.

Also look out for a rare screening of THE EYES OF LAURA MARS (15th Nov) with intro from Rebecca Nicole Williams, author of Disco Giallo.

Acclaimed recent boxing knockout JAWBONE (1st Nov) also screens at the cinema with a Q&A courtesy of actor / director Johnny Harris and star Michael Smiley.

DOUBLE BILLS
Double bill highlights this time include Hitchcock’s classic chiller PSYCHO and brand new documentary about the making of PSYCHO’s infamous shower scene 78/52.

MATINEE CLASSICS
Matinee Classics bring more than a little magic to the screen every Wednesday at 2pm. Screenings are preceded by a performance on the cinema’s original 1936 Compton organ. This time audiences can enjoy IN THE GOOD OLD SUMMERTIME, WILL SUCCESS SPOIL ROCK HUDSON, GYPSEY, BUENO SERA MRS CAMPBELL and THAT’S ENTERTAINMENT.

KID’S KINO CLUB
The cinema continues to run regular Saturday morning screenings as part of its Kids Kino Club, including recent releases and old favourites. THE CORPSE BRIDE, HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILSOPHER’S STONE, THE JUNGLE BUNCH and THE LEGO NINJAGO MOVIE are sure to entertain kids and parents alike.
